Prayer times on the new tab page
The tab you open twenty times a day is the most valuable screen nobody designs for. This replaces it with prayer times, a verse and recitation — no app to open, no page to visit.
The brief
Prayer times are a daily need with a bad interface: unlock a phone, open an app, close it again, several times a day. The check is small enough that it should cost nothing at all.
The new tab page is the obvious place, and it comes with a hard constraint. It has to appear instantly, stay calm enough to look at all day, and never get in the way of whatever the tab was opened for.
What it does
- Prayer times where people actually are. Accurate times for Tiranë, Pristina and Skopje, with hundreds of other places searchable by their Albanian or English name.
- A verse, with the recitation attached. A daily verse in Arabic with its Albanian translation, and audio with a choice of reciters — on a card that can be moved or hidden.
- Dates written the way they are said. A live clock with both the Gregorian and Hijri date, in Albanian, with the day first and the month by name.
- A quiet mode for people who want one. Show every prayer time, only the countdown, or only the next prayer, so the page stays as calm as the person wants.
- Shortcuts that stay out of the way. A handful of one-click shortcuts beside the clock, and nothing else competing for attention.

Where it stands
The extension is published on the Chrome Web Store, sharing its content with the KMSH app. It is the smallest project here and a useful reminder that reach is not the same as size.
